The old power plant of Zeitz
Tucked away behind trees and bushes we noticed in the Freiligrathstraße in Zeitz this beautiful factory ruin in his arms and eyes. Meanwhile, we have found that it is the old power plant of Zeitz in this ruin. This was built in 1904 and commissioned in the same year in operation. The district heating produced the youth center, the slaughterhouse and also the now disused Volksbad were supplied to the 1920s. Around 1908 the factory had to be expanded due to increasing consumer numbers and an administration building was built newly added at the time. From the original splendor of those times today is not much left. The now over 100 years old factory expires zusehens and nature their area brings back slowly but surely.
