Das stillgelegte VEB Verkehrs- und Tiefbaukombinat Leipzig
Das VEB Verkehrs- und Tiefbaukombinat in der großen Messestadt Leipzig wurde auf dem Beschluss des Rates der Stadt durch die Fusion mehrerer Baubetriebe im Jahr 1969 gebildet. Das Amt das von 1969 bis 1970 dem Rat der Stadt und von 1971 bis zur Auflösung 1990 dem Rat des Bezirks Leipzig unterstand, war in diesem Abteil des VEB Verkehrs- und Tiefbaugebäudes in der Nähe der ehemaligen Heeresbäckerei zuständig für die Erforschung der Planung und Leitung der Baustoffindustrie, des Straßen-, Wohnungs- und Städtebaus. Auf dem Gebiet der Investitionspolitik hatte diese Abteilung Querschnittsaufgaben für die gesamte Volkswirtschaft zu lösen. Leider ist uns über das Jahr wo dieses Gebäude entstanden ist nichts bekannt, aber da es 1969 eröffnet wurden nehmen wir an das es aufgrund seines charachtertypischen Flachbaustils der DDR kurz davor erbaut wurde.
